Way back in 2002, when I was at the MIT Media Lab, I created several hi-res artworks using some cameras and video effects software that I created. One of the images is a purplish distorted three-quarters view of a woman, which was taken at a party I had at my apartment. I never really got her name.
Since then, the image has popped up in various places, and every two years or so, I get an email from someone wanting to use the lady here or there. It's been on the facade of the Ars Electronica Museum in Linz, Austria. It's been on the cover of magazines, and probably used to sell toiletries in Asia.
